Food And Pharmaceutical Applications - Selected Tuftane films are FDA and USDA accepted for use in food and pharmaceutical production. They are found extensively on chutes, conveyor belts and bins, and can be used with USDA approval in direct contact with meat, poultry and other foodstuffs.

Decorative And Protective Surface Laminates - Thin gauge layers of Tuftane film laminated to various substrates improve scuff, abrasion, stain and chemical resistance. Finishes can be textured and embossed. Tuftane film's soft hand, flexibility, drape, toughness and abrasion resistance make it an exceptional laminate for natural and synthetic fabrics, foams and films. It can be washed or dry-cleaned without shrinkage and it resists attack by moisture and wind, making Tuftane film the ideal textile laminate.
Bags, Bladders, Covers And Enclosures - Tuftane film can be fabricated into a variety of products to hold gas, foam, grease, petroleum and water-thinned products. In addition, Tuftane film coverings and enclosures make the perfect shield for electrical, electronic and keyboard office equipment -resisting moisture, dirt and corrosive agents.

From Emblems To Food Packaging - Tuftane film is ideally suited for bonding emblems, numerals and letters to many fabrics. Since it contains no volatiles, it does not require cure times like solvent-or-water based adhesive system. Certain Tuftane films are USDA accepted as food packaging adhesives.
Heat Sealing - All Tuftane films are readily heat-sealed by hot-bar, thermal impulse, ultrasonic or dielectric methods over a wide range of temperatures and sealing conditions.
Adhesives - Our films can be used as adhesives to replace sewing. We engineer our Tuftane films for many demanding applications where soft hand, flexibility, dry cleanability, uv resistance and water resistance are essential.
Heat Lamination - Heat and pressure will bond Tuftane film to most fabrics, and Tuftane film bonds well to both ester and ether urethane foam by flame bonding, using conventional equipment at commercial bonding speeds. Some grades of Tuftane film are also suitable for the lamination of glass and transparent plastics such as PBT or PET.
Embossing - Tuftane films are readily embossed. Unlike many other plastic materials Tuftane film retains the embossment best if the embossing surface is cold.
